Bula'bula Arts

Bula'Bula Arts is a large community arts centre. i am more interested in their weaving then the painting so here is some images of how they colour and weave the pandanus.

the finished product of these baskets are amazing. i guess as a crafts person i like to see the usable object handmade. the colours in the baskets are dark and rich. the skill involved must take years and years to learn.
